Ingredients:
1 Cup - Applesauce, unsweetened
1 Cup - Almond Butter, unsalted
1/2 Cup - Coconut Flour
6 TBSP - Maple Syrup
2 TBSP - Apple Pie Spice
1/4 Tsp - Baking Soda
2 TBSP - Sugar
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Combine applesauce, almond butter, maple syrup, and apple pie spice in a bowl.
Add flour and baking soda and let sit for about 5 minutes.
Pour batter into an 8x8 pan lined with parchment paper (for easy removal).
Spread batter into even layer and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 35-40 minutes.
Remove from oven, let cool for 5 minutes in pan, then remove and place on wire rack to finish cooling completely before cutting into bars.
Serve and enjoy!
Tips:
Easily turn this recipe to a Keto friendly by using Monkfruit sugar and Lakanto syrup or any other keto version of your choice.
This recipe is more cake like than bars. You can cut the recipe in half for a thinner finished product and omit the baking soda.
Get creative! Instead of cutting into bars, crumble pieces to add as topping to yogurt or ice cream!
