Broccoli Garlic Pasta

- 1/4 box mini farfalle pasta - 2 heads of broccoli - 6 cloves of garlic - 1/4 cup olive oil - Salt and pepper to taste - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes plus more for topping - Romano or Parmesan cheese for topping

1. Bring a pot of water to boil. Cook pasta according to package. 2. Finely chop up broccoli and garlic cloves. 3. Put oil in sauté pan and heat on medium to medium high. 4. Once oil is heated (becomes more liquidy), put broccoli and garlic in your pan and cook for about 5-10 mins. Place lid on top and stir occasionally. You want the broccoli to have a chard kind of look to it. 5. Add salt, pepper and red pepper flakes and stir to incorporate. 6. Once cooked through, add cooked pasta and stir. 7. Top with cheese and extra red pepper flakes.

Notes/Quick Tips:

- Once you drain your pasta, add oil to keep from sticking.

- You can add any protein you like to this dish- i.e. shrimp, chicken, ground turkey etc.
