Butter Garlic Trout

Butter Garlic Trout

  • 1lb of trout cut into 2 filets

  • 2 tbsps butter

  • 2 garlic cloves, sliced

  • 2 tbsps of chopped parsley

  • 2 tbsps of olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste


1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Heat skillet on medium high heat. Add oil.

3. While your oil is heating up, salt and pepper your filets.

4. Place filet skin side up. Cook your fish until nice and crispy about 5 mins or so.

5. Flip your filet over and cook for 3 mins.

6. Place your hot skillet in the oven for about 5-10 mins. Temp should be 145 degrees.

7. Once your fish is finished cooking, remove from pan.

8. Using that same pan, drain oil and add butter. Heat on medium.

9. Add garlic and chopped parsley. Cook until browned about 3-5 mins.

10. Pour butter mixture on filets and enjoy!


Notes/Quick Tips:

  • You can make this dish with cod or salmon.

  • Add a little lemon or parmesan to the mix for add flavor.

  • Serve with parmesan asparagus and rice
