Cheeseburger Sliders

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef

  • 1/4lb sliced cheddar cheese

  • 1/4lb sliced American cheese

  • 1 pkg French onion dip

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 pkg- 24 count Hawaiian rolls

Sauce

  • 6 tbsps butter

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard

  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

  • Dill pickle slices, optional

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Melt butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, and 1 TBSP of sesame seeds in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk to combine. Set aside.

  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion mix. Drain and set aside to cool.

  4. In a large bowl, add cooled meat and mayo. Set aside.

  5. Remove rolls from packaging, cut in half with a serrated knife. Place bottom rolls on large greased non-stick baking pan

  6. Layer slices of cheese, alternating between American and cheddar until the bottom layer is filled.

  7. Spread beef mixture over the bottom half and then top with top half of the rolls.

  8. Pour melted butter mixture over the top, then sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds.

  9. Bake 20-25 minutes or until browned and crispy. *make sure to put in the middle of the oven so the bottoms don’t get too brown.

  10. Remove from oven, let cool for 5 mins.

  11. Cut into individual servings, add pickles if desired and enjoy!

Tips:

  • You can always do 1/2 parts beef and 1/2 parts chopped brisket or pork etc.

  • Change of the cheese to pepper jack if you like spice or you could do Colby jack etc.

  • Add extra mustard and mayo inside the buns before you place the top on for added flavor.

  • If you don’t have the French onion packet, you can add 1 diced onion, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, salt and pepper to taste.

  • Add foil before baking the sandwiches if you don’t want them to get too brown.
