- 1lb ground chicken
5 green onions, diced
2 large carrots, shredded or ribboned
4 garlic cloves, diced
1/2 onion, diced
1 tbsp olive oil
3/4 cup mushroom, finely diced
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp soy sauce, low sodium
1 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
1/4 cup hoisin sauce (or you can use barbecue sauce mixed with a little molasses)
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp sesame oil
Sriracha for topping, optional
Romaine, green leaf or butter lettuce
Heat a large sauce pan with oil on medium high heat.
Add onions, cook for 3 mins. Add mushrooms and garlic, cook for 3 additional minutes.
Add ground chicken and cook, no pink.
Add carrots and stir.
Add all other ingredients and cook for 5 mins.
Spread mixture on top lettuce leaves and top with sriracha
Notes/Quick Tips:
If you don’t have hoisin, you can use the method I listed above.
You can use ground turkey as well.
