Chocolate Tart


Ingredients:

Crust

  • 1-1/2 Cups - Chocolate Wafers

  • 4 TBSP - Butter, melted

Tart

  • 12 Oz - Dark Chocolate Chips

  • 1-1/2 Cups - Heavy Cream

  • 4 TBSP - Butter, cubed

  • Toppings, optional (flaked salt, whipped cream, berries)\

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Using a food processor pulse chocolate wafers until grounded up.

  3. Add melted butter and pulse until your mixture resembles wet sand.

  4. Put chocolate wafer mix into a 10 inch tart pan until even throughout pan.

  5. Place in oven, lifting from the sides and not bottom, for 10-12 mins until set.

  6. Remove from oven and let cool.

  7. Add heavy cream to a small saucepan.

  8. Heat the cream on medium until starting to simmer (small ripples under the cream)

  9. Take the cream off the heat and add dark chocolate chips.

  10. Wait a few minutes to let the cream cool slightly.

  11. Mix the cream and chocolate until incorporated. Add butter and mix through.

  12. Add chocolate ganache mix to the tart shell.

  13. Put back in the oven for 15 mins.

  14. Remove from oven and let cool for an hour.

  15. Place cooled tart in the fridge for at least an hour.

  16. Top with salt, whipped cream and berries.

  17. Serve and enjoy!
