Granola

Granola


Dry Mix

  • 4 cups of rolled oats

  • 1 cup coconut/nuts or oats

  • 1 cup nuts

  • 1/2 cup dried fruits (or chocolate chips or seeds etc)

  • 1 tsp spice i.e. cinnamon, pumpkin spice etc.

  • 1 pinch of salt


Wet Mix

  • 1/3 cup sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup)

  • 1/3 cup fat (melted butter, coconut oil or canola oil)

  • 1 1/2 tsp flavoring (vanilla, almond extract)


*For clumpy granola add 2 whisked egg whites. Add after both ingredients mixed and do not stir.


  1. Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees.

  2. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.

  3. Mix wet ingredients in a small bowl.

  4. Combine dry and wet ingredients.

  5. Pour out on to greased baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. Toss every 15 mins.


Notes/Quick Tips:

  • Be creative with your granola! Mix all types of seeds and nuts and flavors together.

  • Make sure if you are wanting to add chocolate or white chocolate to the granola, that you let the granola cool first before adding.
