Quiche

Updated: Jan 16

  • 1 pie crust (you can make your own or use pre-made)

  • 1 cup cooked meat

  • 3 large green onions, chopped

  • 4 eggs

  • 1/2 cup veggie

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (any kind of you like)

  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 bag of raw beans

  • Parchment paper

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees to blind bake your pie crust.

  2. Roll pie crust out on a pie dish. Poke pie crust at the bottom with a fork.

  3. Cover crust with a sheet of parchment paper.

  4. Pour a bag of raw beans to weight down the parchment paper.

  5. Place pie crust in oven and cook for 15 mins.

  6. While pie crust is blind baking, mix together eggs, milk, heavy cream and seasoning. Set aside.

  7. Put pie crust aside, let cool for a few mins and turn down the oven to 350 degrees.

  8. Sprinkle 1/4 of the cheese in the bottom then continue to layer with meat and veggies. Reserve 1/4 for the top.

  9. Pour over egg mixture and then top with remaining cheese.

  10. Bake in oven for 45 mins or until set and knife comes out clean.

  11. Enjoy!

Notes/Quick Tips:

  • You can mix whatever you want in a quiche! To make this dish vegetarian, leave out the meat and add more veggies!

  • Chicken would be a great addition as well. You could even do artichokes with it.

  • Feta cheese with tomatoes and zucchini would be a great combo as well!

  • A mixture of cream and milk will give the best texture.

  • If you want a less creamy quiche, add more egg. That will give you a more dense quiche.
