Pork Chops in a sauce

Ingredients:

  • 4-6 bone in pork chops

  • 3 tsp garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp syrup

  • 1/4 cup oil

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp parsley

  • 1 tsp ginger powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1-2 tbsp water, if needed

  • 2 tbsp oil to cook pork chops

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Make sauce: add garlic, syrup, oil, soy sauce and spices to medium bowl and whisk together. Taste and add water if too salty. Set aside.

  3. Sprinkle salt & pepper on each side of the pork chops.

  4. In a large sauce pan, add oil.

  5. Brown pork chops on each side for about 2-3 mins.

  6. In a 9 x 13 dish, place browned pork chops and top with sauce. Cover dish with foil and place in oven.

  7. Cook pork chops for 30-45 mins or until internal temp reaches 145 degrees. *This will also depend on the thickness of the pork chop.

  8. Serve with rice and Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Bone-in has better flavor but you can definitely use boneless pork chops as well.
