Main Egg Mixture Ingredients:
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp oregano, Italian seasoning or any kind of herb
2 cups shredded cheese, any kind would work
8 eggs
2 cups of milk
Sausage & Cheese Cornbread
1/2 lb sausage, cooked
2 cups shredded cheese, cheddar or any kind would work
2 cups of crumbled cornbread or 1 box prepared
1/2 cup green onions, sliced
Above egg mixture
Biscuits & Gravy Ingredients
1 can of biscuits cut into pieces
1/2 lb sausage, cooked
1 cup shredded cheese
1-2 cups white gravy (depending on preference)
Above egg mixture
Tator Tot Ingredients
10oz bag frozen tater tots or hash browns
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 lb sausage, cooked
Above egg mixture
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine egg mixture. Set aside.
Greased a 9 x 13 pan.
Layer ingredients of cornbread/tots/biscuits first.
Then add sausage, sprinkling evenly throughout the casserole.
Add 1/2 of the cheese.
Pour egg mixture then top with remainder cheese (only cornbread & tater tot casserole)
Only applies to biscuit & gravy- pour egg mixture on top then add gravy.
Place in oven for 30-45 mins or until knife comes out clean.
Enjoy!
Tips:
Make extra gravy and add on top after egg casserole is done. *Biscuit & Gravy
Make your own gravy- see our biscuit and gravy recipe. *only difference is you would use the reserve grease from cooking the sausage to make your gravy.
Add veggies, just make sure you cook them before putting them in.
